DEPARTMENT OF MEDICINE MEAKINS-CHRISTIE LABORATORIES McGill University The Department of Medicine of McGill University invites applications for a tenure stream position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor of Medicine. This position will be supported by the newly established Respiratory Research Chair of the Meakins-Christie Laboratories at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre. Applicants should hold a PhD and/or MD degree. Expertise in the areas of innate immunity or regenerative medicine, and making use of “omics” or systems biology approaches, is of particular interest. The candidate may have previously been working in another organ system, but will be expected to lead an innovative world-class research program in applying their skills to respiratory disorders. The candidate is also expected to be actively involved in all aspects of McGill’s academic mission (research, teaching, supervision of graduate students and involvement in academic and administrative committees). An attractive start-up package will be provided together with laboratory space in the new state-of-the-art MUHC Research Institute building, which opened in March, 2015. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants holding an MD degree who wish to engage in clinical practice must have completed subspecialty training as well as be eligible for licensure in Quebec and certification by the Collège des médecins du Québec.
