Applicants are invited for a postdoctoral position in the Department of Preventive Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. This position will provide a unique opportunity to work with both model organisms and human epidemiological cohorts. Dr. Khyobeni Mozhui will be the primary faculty mentor, and the research fellow will also receive additional guidance from Dr. Saunak Sen and other faculty members. This will be a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, and the researcher will have the opportunity to collaborate with investigators in both Preventive Medicine and in the Department of Genetics, Genomics and Informatics at UTHSC. Areas of research include genetics and epigenetics of aging, addiction, and neurocognitive phenotypes. We are seeking someone who is highly motivated, has experience in bioinformatics, and is keen on developing skills in computational analyses. He/She will be responsible for handling and analyzing high dimensional genomic and epigenomic data, and will take a lead role in manuscript preparation and publications Qualifications Applicants with PhD in biological sciences, genetics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, or related field are welcome to apply. Candidates with experience in bioinformatics, R or other statistical tools, and programing languages will be strongly preferred.
