SureFire CPR's Team Joins Millions for the 2017 American Heart Association Heart & Stroke Walk

ANAHEIM, Calif., March 23, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- On Saturday, March 4 a team of SureFire CPR employees took part in the annual American Heart Association's Heart & Stroke Walk in Anaheim, CA. The AHA Heart & Stroke Walk was hosted at the Angel Stadium located at 2000 E. Gene Autry Way and attracted more than 246 5K runners.  

This is the second year that the SureFire CPR team contributed to the AHA Orange County Heart & Stroke Walk with a combination of fundraising, and with 18 walkers and runners participating in the actual event. The SureFire CPR team provides CPR training and first-aid instruction to businesses and individuals in the Southern California region. This is a mainstay volunteer event of SureFire CPR as they have a vested interest in the heart health and wellness of its community.

"This is a cause that resonates with our business in a literal sense, so it was a great engage with the community and meet with so many people that are passionate about this cause."

In addition to participating as a team of walkers and runners at the event, the SureFire CPR team contributed to the national fundraising efforts for the American Heart Association. The 2017 event fundraising total for the AHA Orange Count Heart & Stroke Walk was $1,660,842.

The AHA Heart & Stroke Walk is more than just an annual 5K, the event is geared to attract and provide a fun environment for all ages with a kids' zone, food tents and a festival area for all participants. Annually, the AHA Heart & Stroke Walk attracts more than one million participants nationwide. SureFire CPR's team participation was at one of 305 events across the country aimed at building lives free of cardiovascular disease and strokes. It will continue to support the American Heart Association in these types of community-building events that focus on reducing the risk of heart-related illnesses.
